Thursday 26th August: The biological team have been electric-fishing all this week on the Teviot system, as part of our usual three-yearly cycle around all our sites in the catchment. Heavy localised rain showers have not interfered with progress, so far, and we are on schedule to complete the surveys as planned this year. Dr Campbell is, unfortunately, on sick leave at present but will be back to full strength next week and re-joining the team for the rest of the surveys as we move into the annual fry indexing work on the Ettrick. Further tagging of fish takes place at Paxton this Saturday and all are welcome to come along and watch the process - start time of 3pm at the Paxton House fishery.
