Marine Scotland Science have published a Topic Sheet on the abundance of Spring Salmon. It discusses the decline of rod catches of salmon for February, March and April and the apparrent, recent signs of improvement in May and June. It concludes that there is an the underlying fall in abundance on some Rivers and concludes that all the components of the Spring fishery require special management support.
