The 2010 Tweed Auction of Tweed Autumn Salmon Fishing opens today

The annual postal, fax and email Auction is held to raise funds in support of the work that The Tweed Foundation undertakes over the whole of the Tweed catchment and offers a unique opportunity to experience some of the best fishing available on Tweed.

Lots include angling on Upper Floors, Carham, Ladykirk, The Lees, Wark and Upper Pavilion, as well as many others. Most lots on offer are for two rods.

In addition, this year some lots in the Auction are being offered specifically to raise funds to help with The Tweed Foundation's provision of Wheelyboats on the River.  As part of its remit, the Foundation provides two Wheelyboats on Tweed for disabled and less-able anglers to use to make their fishing experience more comfortable, more enjoyable, and safer. The boats are provided free of charge with The Foundation only seeking to cover the running costs with donations.
