Monday 6th April : In the office all day, writing up the lamprey survey from last week.
Tuesday 7th April : TF Trustees meeting in the morning. In the afternoon, more on the Lamprey write up and then checking the origins of some coarse fish for applications for consent that have been made to the RTC. This means finding out which is the local EA office for the originating fish farm and checking on whether there are Zebra Mussel or Signal Crayfish in the area with the local EA officers. It also means checking the parasitological health certification for these fish farms. At the end of the afternoon went out with Kenny to check a Brook Lamprey spawning site in the Turfford Burn - they were found spawning at this site two years ago, we didn't see any last year and wanted to check again this year as we don't know to what extent the same sites are spawned in each year. This year the spawning was happening just over 20m upstream of the site used two years ago, so same general area, but not exactly the same site.
Wednesday 8th April: Finished the Lamprey write-up & then finished off the 5 minute presentation I'm doing on Tweed Sea-trout for the AST meeting next week.
Thursday 9th April : To the Scottish Freshwater Group meeting in Stirling.
Friday 10th April : On leave
