The River Tweed Commission and The Tweed Foundation's work is based upon the Tweed Fisheries Management Plan which is produced by The Tweed Foundation. The Plan is thoroughly reviewed, and amended in the light of new work and studies, every five years and then formally adopted by Commission as the management tool for the River.
For the first time, the latest, 4th, Edition of the Tweed Fisheries Management Plan is available for reference online. The Plan contains a comprehensive digest of knowledge which is used to formulate fisheries management policy on the River Tweed. Follow this link to reach the index to the Tweed Fisheries Management Plan.
The current Plan concludes at the end of 2009 and the 5th Edition is already in progress.
