A report of a tagged Sea-trout was received by The Tweed Foundation. The Sea-trout, caught at Paxton netting station on the 1st September 2008, was found to have been originally tagged at the same place on 19th September 2006. This is interesting because it shows a fish “keeping” its timing: it was starting to run up-river in 2006 in mid-September and was doing the same thing at much the same time and place in 2008.

The Tweed Foundation's exploitation programme will continue in mid-September when, weather permitting, the netting station at Paxton will be used to catch, tag and return a good sample of fish and note their recapture rate, date and location by rod-and-line and, at the right time of the season, the netting stations.
