There have been reports of Grilse with red, swollen vents from rivers to the north and two examples were caught on the lower Tweed last week.

If you catch a Grilse with a swollen vent during the week (Monday to Friday)
please kill it and bring it in to the Tweed Foundation Office, or arrange with your local Water Bailiff to do so.

More specimens are needed for examination.
