News on recaptured fish provides useful information for the Tweed Foundation. If you catch, or find, a tagged fish of any species please pass the information on to the Foundation.  We need to know the Tag No., capture date and place, and any other information out of the ordinary about the fish.

Grayling

A Grayling tagged on 17th December 2005 at the Back Braes on Upper Mertoun has recently been notified as recaptured, in the same place, on 26th December 2006.

Sea-trout

A female Sea-trout of 535mm tagged at Paxton netting station on 19th September 2006 (Tag No. 263) was found dead 1 mile up the Corsehope Burn (on the Gala Water) on 18th December 2006.
